MBCNAA History 1902-2020
In a very humble beginning, the Morris Brown College National Alumni Association was organized in 1902. This organization has grown through the past one-hundred & Eighteen years and TODAY is a very strong supportive arm of our 139 year Old AME-HBCU institution. The Association is committed to help provide moral and financial support to the college.
The purposes of the Association are to promote the best interest for Morris Brown College toward the continuous attainment of its mission to promote good relations between the Alumni and the College; to aid the recruitment of academically talented students for entrance to the college; to generate funds for the use and benefit of the college and organize and mobilize the collective strength of the alumni towards, generating financial support and any other way that will be beneficial to its growth.
During 2018, the NAA partnered with the MBC Alumni Focus Group in accomplishing the “Repair & Replace” the Administration Buildings’ Roof, the interior painting of this building, the purchase of new A/C Units on this building and the successful MBC-Car-Give-A-Way drawing . This drawing was conducted on Homecoming Day ‘2016. The proud winner was Alumnus Ronald Mellix, Jr., ’07, Loyal Marching Wolverine.

“Still Standing, Never Closed”
The Morris Brown College National Alumni Association was organized in 1902 to promote the best interest of Morris Brown College toward the continuous attainment of its mission by providing an organization through which alumni may:
- Promote good relations between alumni and the College
- Aid in the recruitment and retention of academically talented students
- Organize and mobilize the collective strength of alumni toward generating financial support for attainment of the college’s mission
- Formulate and carry out a program of activities for graduated and former students
- Create a dynamic organization that attracts new members, new benefactors, and strong partnerships
As an alumnus and friend of Morris Brown College, I will at all times and in all places, strive to promote the good name and reputation of such an outstanding institution. With dignity, I will demonstrate in my character and deportment, an air of pride that will be noticeable and respected. With compassion, I will take advantage of every opportunity to speak on her behalf, and assist in any way possible with the efforts of the school, in the recruitment of good students, in locating financial resources, and by making myself available for tasks I am called upon to perform.
As a member of this alumni organization, I will make efforts on a continuing basis, to attract other well-meaning alumni and friends of Morris Brown College, to join our attempts to assure her a long life of success, and achievement for her sons and daughters.

Oh Lord, we beseech Thee to give us that due sense of love, reverence, and respect for our Alma Mater, Morris Brown College. We ask that Thou will give us the will to represent her, displaying the highest degree of personal integrity, and with a level of deportment that will show forth these morals and virtues she has taught and stood for, for so many years.
We ask that Thou will continue to let your light so shine on her, that she may continue as a lively center for sound learning, new discovery, and the pursuit of wisdom. And grant that those who teach there, and those who learn there, may find you to be the source of all truth. Bless the President, the Staff and Faculty that they may be good leaders, and set right examples for academic excellence and outstanding achievement.
Endow us all with an inalienable sense of gratitude, for we know from whence cometh all our blessings. In Christ, Amen.
